ABOUT US

I have been in the book binding trade for 37 years after completing an apprenticeship in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 1967. On my arrival in South Africa in 2003 I started my own business, M. R. Bindery, working from the cottage behind my house.  Being based in a university town (Grahamstown), I am often called on to do full case binding of theses but my area of expertise is the restoration and rebinding of old books, as can be seen from the photographs in the gallery.
